I am waiting for SSI and SSDI to be approved, I went to Social services for help with rent etc and was told my alimony of $500 a month was 23.00 TOO much to be considered I was on temp disability from my job so I will have enough income to pay income tax, my question is does Social services take out income tax on the 500? If so would that lower the 500 enough to be considered low enough to qualify? I am going to be homeless if I don’t get some kind of income soon.
